Brittan Acres is a wonderful neighborhood school that prides itself on educating the whole child. As a TK-3rd grade school, we focus on providing a positive learning environment where student needs are a priority. The focus is on engaging students in authentic learning experiences that include collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, communication and citizenship. Brittan Acres includes a diverse group of educators, parents, and students who work towards a common goal and vision that is innovative, engaging, and collaborative and focuses on meeting the needs of every child.
This year, we’re focused on the following key areas as we continue to implement our Strategic Plan:
* Build and maintain a sense of community and belonging
* Learn and implement practices that create equitable learning opportunities for students and focus on equity and inclusion
* Create and implement engaging curriculum (Reader's/Writer's and Phonics Workshop, Math in Focus, STEMscopes Science)
* Consistent and supportive collaboration among teachers, students, and parents
* Continuing to foster the 5C’s through innovative practices (STEAM)
