Walk-A-Jog Fitness Challenge
We are excited to announce our plans for an adjusted Walk-A-Jog, which is traditionally BA's largest community event of the year. We will not be able to come together to celebrate our community as we always have, but we want to encourage all families to get active and celebrate our BA community!
This year, we will be encouraging a Walk-A-Jog Fitness Challenge during the week of Sunday, October 18th through Sunday, October 25th. The PTA will be giving out shirts to all Brittan Acres students to wear during this Fitness Challenge week, and the goal is to find fun activities to do as a family. Here are some activity ideas:
-
Go for a walk/run
-
Hike in a local park
-
Get outside with your family and play a sport that you love
-
Do jumping jacks
-
Set up an obstacle course in your backyard
-
Learn a new skill
-
Run for 15 minutes
-
Walk to downtown and back
-
Hike for 2 miles
-
Do 30 jumping jacks
-
Do yoga for 30 minutes
- Sign the waiver in order to participate
- Encourage your child to wear their WAJ t-shirts. If you did not pick up your shirt yet, there are extras in the BA front office while supplies last.
- Do something active as a family during the Fitness Challenge Week! As a reminder, Walk-A-Jog is not taking place at the Brittan Acres campus. You will be doing something active at your house or around your neighborhood.
- Take pictures and share them with us.
